Hospitalist Physician

Hospitalist OpportunityLocated in Midland, Michigan•Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hospitalist to join a growing hospital medicine program. •Full-time opportunities available on a rotating schedule (days, afternoons, and nights) or as a dedicated nocturnist. •Standard 7-on/7-off schedule promoting work-life balance. •Average census: oRounding: 16-20 patients per shift oAdmissions: 10-16 patients per shift •Closed ICU model with strong specialist support. •Collaborative and collegial environment with access to a wide range of subspecialty services. •Opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth and development of the hospital medicine program. Responsibilities:•Provide comprehensive medical management of hospitalized patients. •Perform admissions, history and physical examinations, and admission orders. •Participate in rapid response and code blue teams. •Provide consultations and ongoing inpatient medical management. •Assume care and management of general inpatient admissions. Qualifications:•MD or DO degree required. •Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. •Current AHA-approved BLS and ACLS certifications. •Michigan medical license or eligibility for licensure. •Must be a U.S. citizen due to the HPSA status of the geographic area.
