Location: St. Joseph, MI (with additional facility opportunities statewide and nationwide)

Position overview
Provide part-time medical directorship and attending physician services at local skilled nursing facilities. Work collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver clinical oversight and patient-centered care for post-acute and long-term care residents.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide medical care and clinical oversight in assigned skilled nursing facilities
  • Collaborate with NPs and PAs on assessments, treatment plans, and transitions of care
  • Serve as attending physician for facility patients, including documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Offer clinical leadership and support to interdisciplinary teams

Schedule and workload
  • Part-time; physicians typically cover each facility 1-2 days per week
  • No fixed start/end times, no call, no overnight shifts
  • Typical daily patient volume: 18-25 visits
  • Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance

Qualifications
  • MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligible for licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
  • New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure encouraged to apply
