Job Details
We're looking for a dedicated physician to serve as Medical Director/Attending for skilled nursing facilities in Houghton Lake, Michigan, and surrounding communities. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative team environment, and the chance to positively impact post-acute and long-term care patients. You'll work alongside experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, providing hands-on clinical care as well as leadership and oversight at the facilities you're assigned.

Where you could work
- Local opportunity: Houghton Lake, MI (with coverage across nearby skilled nursing facilities)
- Other Michigan locations: Bad Axe, East Jordan, Grayling, Holland, Manistique, Mount Pleasant, Ovid, St. Joseph, and Temperance
- Nationwide openings available in: GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MO, NC, OH, TN, and WI
What the role looks like
- Part-time coverage with physicians typically on-site 1-2 days per week at each facility
- No fixed start/end times, no overnight shifts, and no on-call requirements
- Expect roughly 18-25 patient visits per day
- Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance
- You'll receive a company-provided iPad with LTE for efficient documentation and communication
- New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply

What we're looking for
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license-or eligibility for licensure
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
- Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
