Schedule Details:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

• Primary Call: 3 nights during each 7-day block
• Backup Call: 4 nights supporting the Nurse Practitioner

Manageable Patient Volume

• Average daily census: 9 to 11 patients
• Typically no more than 16 patients
• Approximately 2 admissions per day
• Swing-bed patients may account for more than 50% of the census

Collaborative Practice Environment

Work alongside an experienced APRN every shift, sharing patient care responsibilities and maintaining balanced workloads.

Family Medicine with Occasional Pediatric Exposure

The facility prefers a Family Medicine Hospitalist comfortable treating pediatric patients when needed. Pediatric volume is very low, but occasional coverage may be required.

Coverage Need

The facility is seeking coverage due to:

• A physician taking PTO from December 30 through January 5
• An upcoming maternity leave anticipated to begin in mid-to-late January and extend for approximately three months

Required Qualifications

• Board-certified Family Medicine Physician
• Hospitalist experience preferred
• Comfortable seeing occasional pediatric patients
• Active Illinois license preferred
