Facility:
This well-established medical center is a Level II Trauma Center serving northern Nevada and northeastern California, featuring a 30-bed pediatric inpatient unit and a 16-bed PICU staffed by dedicated pediatric intensivistsThe facility maintains a strong academic affiliation with a local School of Medicine and offers robust subspecialty support, creating a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment for pediatric care providers.

Board Certified/Board Eligible - Physician - Hospitalist - Pediatric

Job Details:

• Provide pediatric inpatient ward coverage in a 30-bed unit with an average daily census of 16-18 patients
• Perform newborn nursery examinations
• Conduct Emergency Department pediatric consultations
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary pediatric care team, including subspecialists and intensivists
• Work closely with a 16-bed PICU staffed by dedicated pediatric intensivists
• Participate in teaching and education of pediatric residents and medical students
• Engage in an academic environment through affiliation with a local School of Medicine
• Deliver care in a Level II Trauma Center serving northern Nevada and northeastern California
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered pediatric care
• Full-time, permanent position requiring residency within the immediate local area; relocation may be required
• Nevada Medical License required or willingness to obtain
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics required
• DEA and CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to start
• Clean malpractice and medical license history highly preferred
• Weekend coverage likely required as part of hospitalist schedule
• Not accepting Locums or visa candidates
