Position Overview
She Recruits is actively seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Hospitalists for an exciting opportunity with the Fargo VA Health Care System in Fargo, North Dakota.
This is an outstanding opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient care to our nation's Veterans while working in a collaborative, physician-driven environment. We're seeking physicians who enjoy practicing hospital medicine, value continuity of care, and appreciate a predictable block schedule.

Position Highlights
- 7-On / 7-Off schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Days: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Competitive hourly compensation: $205 $220/hour
- Housing and travel assistance available for physicians outside the immediate area
- Local candidates or physicians within approximately a 2 3-hour driving distance preferred
- Opportunity to care for Veterans in a respected federal healthcare system
The Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient medical care including:
- Admit, evaluate, and manage hospitalized adult medical patients
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic testing
- Manage medication therapy
- Coordinate specialty consultations
- Lead discharge planning and transition of care
- Participate in rapid response teams and code situations
- Perform bedside procedures within granted privileges
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in the VA electronic health record
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, specialists, case management, and ancillary services to ensure high-quality patient care
Required
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Current unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
- Active DEA registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA credentialing and privileging
Preferred
- Previous Hospital Medicine experience
- Experience in acute inpatient care
- Previous VA or federal healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
- Block schedule (7-On / 7-Off)
- 12-hour shifts
