Community-based Neurohospitalist
Affiliated with World-Class WashU Medicine
Washington University Regional Physicians (WURP) is seeking board certified/eligible Neurologists for outstanding opportunities to practice in a community setting with ties to one of the country's leading academic neurology departments and the largest provider of neurological services in the St. Louis region. Positions are open in either our St. Charles County campus (BJC St. Peters/Progress West) or North County campus (Christian Hospital)-no split-campus daily travel required.
WURP physicians practice independently in a community setting while staying connected to WashU Medicine Neurology giving you access to all its subspecialties, educational conferences and professional development opportunities with a voluntary faculty appointment. As a member of the WashU Medicine team, you will enjoy ready access to WashU physicians in all medical and surgical specialties.
The practices are in thriving suburban communities in the St. Louis metro area known for their family-friendly environment, excellent schools and a variety of recreational activities. The locations offer a high quality of life with convenient access to the cultural and entertainment options of the greater St. Louis metro region consisting of a population of approximately 3 million. Position Highlights:

Purely Consultative Service: 7-on/7-off daytime schedule with in-person neurology consultations; no primary admitting or attending responsibilities.
Zero Acute Stroke/Tele-Neurology Burden: All acute stroke alerts are completely managed by the centralized WashU Telestroke service.
Sustainable Night Coverage with a predictable, historically low-volume overnight home call burden

Requirements:

MD, DO, or equivalent degree
BC/BE Neurology
Ability to acquire license to practice in the State of Missouri
Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
