Physician / Hospitalist / Connecticut / Permanent / Part-Time Neurohospitalist Northwest Connecticut

A collaborative neuroscience program in picturesque Northwest Connecticut, 30 miles west of Hartford, is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist for a part-time Neurohospitalist opportunity requiring just 12 weeks of inpatient coverage per year.

Position Highlights:

• Part-time, 12 weeks per year
• Each week consists of 7 consecutive days, 8:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m.
• Share telephone-based evening call coverage
• Weekend evenings covered by Teleneurology
• Consultative neurology service covering the ED, medical and surgical floors, and medical and surgical ICUs
• Care for a wide range of acute neurological conditions
• Acute stroke care experience essential
• Hands-on clinical supervision and teaching of advanced practice providers preferred
• Opportunities to participate in clinical research, quality improvement and patient experience initiatives
• Opportunities for resident and faculty interviews and professional/public lectures
• Practice in a 105+bed community hospital
• Join a rapidly expanding neuroscience program with 165+ neuroscience physicians and advanced practitioners across multiple subspecialties

Qualifications:

• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology
• Comfortable providing acute stroke care
