A collaborative neuroscience program in picturesque Northwest Connecticut, 30 miles west of Hartford, is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist for a part-time Neurohospitalist opportunity requiring just 12 weeks of inpatient coverage per year. Position Highlights: Part-time, 12 weeks per year Each week consists of 7 consecutive days, 8:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. Share telephone-based evening call coverage Weekend evenings covered by Teleneurology Consultative neurology service covering the ED, medical and surgical floors, and medical and surgical ICUs Care for a wide range of acute neurological conditions Acute stroke care experience essential Hands-on clinical supervision and teaching of advanced practice providers preferred Opportunities to participate in clinical research, quality improvement and patient experience initiatives Opportunities for resident and faculty interviews and professional/public lectures Practice in a 105+bed community hospital Join a rapidly expanding neuroscience program with 165+ neuroscience physicians and advanced practitioners across multiple subspecialties Compensation & Benefits: Health benefits 401(k) with match CME allowance and additional CME stipend Paid malpractice with 100% tail coverage Board certification and licensing fees paid Qualifications: Board certified or board eligible in Neurology Comfortable providing acute stroke care Willingness to supervise and teach advanced practice providers preferred Location & Lifestyle: Nestled in the scenic Litchfield Hills of Northwest Connecticut, this community combines historic New England charm with easy access to larger metropolitan areas.
