Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a Board-CertifiedLocums Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to provide 12-hour night shift coveragein Asheville, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for anexperienced Pediatric Hospitalist with strong inpatient and procedural skills.

PositionHighlights

• Schedule: 12-hour pediatric night shifts
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10-18 patients per shift
• EMR: Cerner
• No delivery coverage
• No circumcisions

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist coverage
• Manage pediatric patients with a range of acute and complex medical conditions
• Care for pediatric patients with subspecialty needs
• Perform procedures as needed, including:
• Lumbar punctures
• Occasional internal jugular (IJ) line placement
• Collaborate with specialists and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Board Certification required
• Active North Carolina medical license
• Active North Carolina DEA
• Current PALS certification
• Experience managing pediatric subspecialty patients
