What You ll Do
  • Manage all labor and delivery processes, including overseeing high-risk obstetrics cases
  • Perform C-sections and vaginal deliveries with support from on-site nursing and team members
  • Conduct rounds on obstetric and gynecological patients each morning
  • Respond to GYN emergencies, including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and fetal anomalies
  • Assist with gynecological surgeries, including IUD insertions/removals and PAP smears
  • Provide postpartum care and family planning counseling
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB GYN residents, FP residents, and medical students
What You Need
  • Required:
    • Board certification or eligibility within 2 years
    • Active medical license (IMLC accepted)
    • BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
    • DEA registration
    • 1-3 years obstetric and gynecological experience
  • Preferred:
    • Experience managing high-risk pregnancies and performing obstetric procedures
    • Strong team collaboration skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
About the Assignment
This position is based in a regional hospital that serves as a transfer center for rural hospitals and a trauma center. You will be responsible for overseeing labor and deliveries, performing surgeries, and managing high-risk obstetrical cases in a team-based, collegial setting with dedicated nursing and support staff. The facility offers on-site NICU and 24/7 OB/GYN consultative services, providing a comprehensive environment for experienced obstetric providers.
