Physician - Hospitalist

Job Details:

Hospital Medicine position providing inpatient care at a 120-bed facility

Multiple service schedules available: Service A (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Service B (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), and Service C (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

All three services transition to 12-hour shifts during high-volume periods

Weekend coverage consists of two 12-hour services with surge capacity as needed

On-call rotations are service-specific with no expectation of callback once shift is completed

Providers will round on 15-22 patients per day depending on volume and shift assignment

Daily admissions average 10-12 with a census of 50-60 patients

Consults available with behavioral health and surgery teams (1-2 per day)

Open ICU model with intensivist involvement managing drips and ventilators on-site

Robust support staff including PT, OT, SLP, case managers, respiratory therapy, and intensivists

Case managers assist with scheduling follow-up care through primary care physicians

EMR system: Meditech

Seasoned providers comfortable handling 18-20+ encounters per day are encouraged to apply
