Job Details

Provide medical direction and attending physician services for residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Mascoutah, IL and surrounding locations. Partner with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care and provide clinical oversight within assigned facilities.

  • Primary: Mascoutah, IL (local coverage)
  • Additional Illinois opportunities: Carlinville, Casey, Coulterville, Flanagan, Galesburg, Hillsboro, Macomb, Paris, Springfield
  • Nationwide openings: IN, KS, LA, MA, MI, MO, NC, OH, TN, WI

Schedule and Workload
  • Part-time (physicians typically cover each facility 1-2 days per week)
  • No fixed start/end times, no call, no overnight shifts
  • Average 18-25 visits per day
  • Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance
  • Company-provided iPad with LTE for documentation

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide attending physician coverage and medical direction in skilled nursing facilities
  • Collaborate with NPs and PAs on care plans, transitions, and clinical decision-making
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and continuity of care for post-acute and long-term residents
  • Lead clinical reviews and provide physician oversight as required

Requirements
  • MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
  • New graduates who are board-eligible and pursuing licensure encouraged to apply
