Hospitalist job in Altoona WI

Provide clinical leadership and attend to patients in local skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Altoona, WI. Partner with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care and oversee clinical management at assigned sites.

Schedule and duties

• Part-time coverage: typically 1-2 days per week per facility
• No fixed start/end times, no overnight shifts, no call
• Average 18-25 visits per day
• Collaborate with on-site APPs for routine rounds, care planning, and transfer/stabilization decisions
• Documentation via company-provided iPad with LTE

Qualifications

• MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
• New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure encouraged to apply
