Locum Tenens Pediatrics opportunity for an experienced Pediatrician with a strong background in high-acuity neonatal care and resuscitation - Located in New York.
This is a unique opportunity to work in an acute care hospital environment with a focus on high-risk deliveries, neonatal stabilization, newborn nursery care, pediatric inpatient care, and ER consultations.
The provider will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including Obstetrics/Midwifery and 24/7 Anesthesia support.

This is a unique opportunity to work in an acute care hospital environment with a focus on high-risk deliveries, neonatal stabilization, newborn nursery care, pediatric inpatient care, and ER consultations.
The provider will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including Obstetrics/Midwifery and 24/7 Anesthesia support.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Start: ASAP
- Assignment: 3 months and ongoing
- Schedule: 5 7 shifts per month
- Shift Type: 24-hour call coverage
- Multiple consecutive 24-hour shifts may be available
- Weekday and weekend coverage
- High-risk deliveries and neonatal emergencies
- Typical census of 4 10 newborns and 0 3 pediatric inpatients
- Epic EMR
- Supportive multidisciplinary clinical team
- 4 hours of gratis time if called in for patient care
- Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill newborns
- Management of high-risk deliveries and newborn nursery patients
- Pediatric inpatient care
- ER consultations for neonatal and pediatric emergencies
- Collaboration with Obstetrics, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, and other clinical staff
- On-call coverage for neonatal and pediatric emergencies
- Board Certified Pediatrician
- Active NY medical license in hand
- Current NRP, PALS, and BLS
- Epic experience
- Strong experience with high-acuity neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Must be able to return to the hospital within 20 minutes while on call
- No Residents or Fellows
- Valid DEA preferred
- Recent work history with no significant employment gaps exceeding 30 days
- Clean professional history/malpractice background
