Position Overview:
Join a dynamic pediatric team as a Hospitalist, serving as the primary physician for hospitalized children. This role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive inpatient care, coordinate seamlessly with primary care and subspecialty teams, and make a direct impact on patient safety and outcomes in a collegial, evidence-driven environment.
The Role:
Serve as the "pediatrician of record" for each patient, coordinating care and communication between inpatient and primary care teams
Rapidly assess and manage acute clinical deterioration; supervise and coordinate transfers to/from pediatric ICU as needed
Streamline admission and discharge processes to optimize patient safety, timeliness, and reduce unnecessary length of stay
Teach and mentor pediatric residents during patient-centered rounds, contributing to future physician development
Develop and implement clinical pathways to enhance quality of care across pediatric conditions
Participate in medical staff committees focused on quality improvement and patient safety
Follow evidence-based guidelines and national standards to deliver cutting-edge pediatric care
Schedule & Lifestyle:
7 days on, 7 days off (flexible shift structure: 12-hour or 24-hour options)
Continuous onsite coverage during scheduled shifts
Predictable rotation supports work-life balance and family time
No call responsibilities outside scheduled shifts
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree
Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics
California medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
Inpatient pediatric care experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered medicine
