Hospitalist Physician

Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director Position in Athens, OH
Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH.
Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists.
• Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Neonatologists.
• Manage 24/7 on-call coverage using a round and go model with call from home.
• Perform circumcisions and provide pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with a team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists for coordinated care.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research projects.
• Exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Pediatrics (Required)
• OH license (or willingness to obtain) (Required)
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) (Required)
• Previous employment experience in leadership roles (Preferred)
• DEA (must be obtained prior to start) (Required)

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Pediatrics (Required)
• Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain (Required)
• DEA number to be obtained prior to start (Required)
