Korzen Health is partnering with one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in Northeast Texas to recruit an experienced GI Hospitalist to join a growing, well-established gastroenterology team. Due to continued growth in the area, this 35-bed, Level III Trauma hospital is seeking an additional physician to strengthen its inpatient GI service.
Join a collaborative team of 6 full-time Gastroenterologists and 1 full-time GI Hospitalist, with robust support staff designed to help you focus on delivering excellent patient care.

This 35-bed, Level III Trauma hospital serves a growing community in Northeast Texas, located approximately 2 hours east of downtown Dallas. Schedule
- 7 days on / 7 days off - 182 shifts per year
- Flexibility to adjust the schedule around pre-planned vacations and time off
- Night call relief Monday-Thursday
- Holiday coverage rotated on a 1:7 ratio - you won't be covering every major holiday
- Provide inpatient-only GI hospitalist coverage - no outpatient duties
- Round on inpatients daily
- Manage an average of 5-10 procedures per day and approximately 8 consults per day
- Advanced ERCP required; EUS preferred but not required
- Full GI inpatient service coverage provided by you and your care team
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) support during weekdays, assisting with rounding during procedures
- Internal Medicine Resident support during the week
- Additional NP support for new providers during weeknight coverage
