Locums - Okeechobee, Florida Hospitalist Opening

Clinical Role

Provide Hospitalist coverage for a 6-month assignment managing bread-and-butter Internal Medicine cases within a rural, community-based patient population. New graduates are welcome.

Assignment Details

Start Date:ASAP

Duration:6 months

Clinical Details

• 100-bed hospital
• Average census: 50 patients
• Approximately 12 admissions daily
• Open ICU
• Procedures and ventilator management required with Pulmonology and Cardiology support
• Providers may perform additional procedures if appropriately signed off
• No trauma
• Outpatient follow-up with community providers
• Nursing, Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Lab, and additional support available
• Orientation typically 4-8 hours

Requirements

• Board Certified - Required
• Active Florida license - Required
• Emergency privileges available
• New graduates welcome
