- Locum tenens job opening with ongoing coverage needs
- Dates of coverage needed: October 16-23
- Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible internal medicine or family medicine physician
- Opportunities to see all ages or adults only
- 24-hour solo coverage at a rural critical access hospital
- Schedule: Noon-noon
- Typically 12-15 hours of active work, with the remainder of the shift on call
- Daytime patient care followed by overnight in-house call
- On-site call room available for sleeping
- Must be comfortable with emergent intubations, ventilator management, and central line placement
- Adult procedures required:
- Intubation
- Central line placement
- Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
- Lumbar puncture
- Intubation
- Pediatric procedures listed for coverage involving children:
- Intubation
- Lumbar puncture
- Neonatal circumcision
- Neonatal umbilical venous catheter (UVC) and peripheral line placement
- Intubation
- Certifications listed: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
- COVID vaccination required
- EMR: Cerner

- 25-bed critical access hospital
- 4 ICU beds
- Average daily encounters: 18
- Average daily census: 14.25
- eICU intensivist support
- Ancillary services include:
- X-ray, laboratory, and CT
- Anesthesia
- STAT lactate, cardiac enzymes, and procalcitonin testing
- Physical and speech therapy
- X-ray, laboratory, and CT
