Hospitalist Physician

• Schedule: 20 days per month for clinic and call; 24-hour call shifts; call ratio 1:3; coverage through 07/01/2027
• Job Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient; OB-GYN Hospitalist Department; 18 beds in department; EMR: Epic
• Types of Cases: Low and high risk pregnancy; FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); routine vaginal deliveries; decision-making for C-section; C-sections; multiple births; abruptions; VBACs (preferred); surgical gynecology including operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's); repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations (preferred); laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (preferred); OB/GYN emergency call patient consults; approximately 600 deliveries annually; 0-8 patients per shift; admissions required
• Support Staff: 24/7 CRNA, 24/7 Respiratory Therapy, 1st Assist Surgical; minimum 2 L&D RNs (increased as needed), 2 NICU RNs, 1 OB Tech; 2 PA/NPs; 3 Midwife backup support as scheduled
• Call Details: Call type: Beeper; call response time: 15 minutes; call for both inpatient and outpatient; phone consults vary

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS required
• Licensure: Licensed in Missouri required or IMLC
• Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days; Fellowship: required; temporary privileges not available
