Locums - Ft. Walton Beach, Florida Hospitalist Opportunity

Clinical Role

Seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Hospitalist for a locums opportunity in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. This is a day rounder position with an open ICU and an intensivist team on-site. No procedures are required.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: January 1, 2027
• Contract Length: 3 months
• Schedule: 7-on/7-off
• Shift: 6:00 am-6:00 pm
• Late Call: 3:00 pm-6:00 pm, approximately 3-4 times per week
• Patient Volume: Approximately 21-25 patients per physician
• Admissions: Approximately 3-4 per physician daily
• Consults: Approximately 1-2 daily; volume varies
• ICU: Open ICU with intensivist team on-site
• Procedures: Not required
• Support: APPs are available but work in Psychiatry and do not assist with admissions
• Orientation: Orientation, EMR training, and shadow shift
• Requirements: Internal Medicine trained, hospitalist experience, and active Florida license
