approximately 50% occupied by medical patients at any one time. Successful candidates will be excellent clinicians with a passion for inpatient medicine, strong

In this role, the ICU Nocturnist will:

2) work with the overnight UCSF medicine residents to admit patients to the wards and assist in cross-covering medical ward patients.

3) serve as the code blue leader and staff rapid response team calls

4) triage all transfer requests to the ICU and wards

The average number of ICU admissions during the night shift is typically 2 per week, with an average ICU census of 5-7 patients. The number of ward

admissions is split with the night medicine resident, and ranges from 1-2 per person per night. There are 13 shifts per month, from 7P to 7A.

Candidates must possess an MD, DO, or equivalent degree and be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine. Candidates will become a member of the

The minimum base salary range for this position is
