Newborn Hospitalist Locums Job in Florida
Location: Orlando, Florida
Specialty: Pediatric Hospital Medicine / Newborn Hospitalist
Schedule: 7 On / 7 Off
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM during service weeks
Details/Requirements:
7-on/7-off schedule
Weekday coverage only during service weeks
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
No overnight shifts during scheduled coverage
Collaborative practice with Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Supportive pediatric and obstetric teams
Family-centered care model
Beautiful Central Florida location
Responsibilities
Newborn admissions and evaluations
Daily newborn rounds
Discharge planning and management
Comprehensive well-newborn care
Family education and support
Newborn stabilization when needed
Coordination of transfers to higher levels of care
Collaboration with community pediatricians, nursing staff, neonatologists, and neonatal practitioners
Participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Practice Environment
The Newborn Hospitalist will serve as an integral member of the neonatal care team, working closely with:
Neonatologists
Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Obstetric providers
Community Pediatricians
Newborn Nursing Teams
Providers will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the care of newborns and their families while practicing within one of Florida's premier pediatric networks.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician
Experience and passion for newborn medicine
Commitment to family-centered care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
