- Coverage Type: 12 hr shifts, 7a-7p
- EMR: Cerner
- Practice Setting: Hospital/Inpatient
- Coverage Start: October 2026 and ongoing
- Coverage Need: 7 10 shifts per month
- Schedule Flexibility: Can be scheduled in 2 blocks
- Weekend Coverage: Expected
- Call: No call required
- Work Location: Must remain in-house/in the hospital during the shift
- Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-Based
- Patient Population: 100% Adult inpatient and observation patients
- Average Patient Load: patients per day
- Weekday Support: Work alongside an experienced NP with a split patient load
- Hospital Type: Small community hospital
- Trauma Level: Level III trauma capabilities
- Manage adult inpatient and observation patients
- Respond to Codes and Rapid Responses
- Manage step-down level patients
- Ventilator management experience preferred
- No procedures required
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Family Medicine physicians must have hospitalist work experience
- 1 2 years of hospitalist experience preferred
- 1 2 years of comparable adult inpatient/hospitalist medicine experience required
- Vermont license required or willingness to obtain
- Clean background required
- No malpractice or license issues
- No exceptions for malpractice/licensing concerns
- NPDB report within 30 days required at offer
- Travel & Logistics
- Lodging reimbursed
- Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate
- Ideal Candidate
- Board-certified IM or FM Hospitalist
- Comfortable managing adult patients per day
- Experienced with codes, rapid responses, and step-down patients
- Ventilator management experience is a plus
- Available for 7 10 day shifts per month, including weekends
