What You ll Do

• Respond to codes and rapid response team activations.
• Manage ventilator and step-down level patients; stabilize critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with nursing, ED, and surgical teams to provide inpatient care.
• Document patient encounters using Cerner Community Works and AI scribe support.
• Monitor patient progress, perform assessments, and coordinate transfers to tertiary centers when needed.
• Support hospital operations during your scheduled shifts, ensuring efficient patient throughput.

What You Need
Required:

• Valid Physician Assistant license in Vermont or eligible for licensure.
• Prior inpatient, hospitalist, or emergency department experience.
• Strong patient management skills, including stabilization of critically ill patients.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and codes.

Preferred:

• Ventilator management experience.
• Experience managing intermediate and observation level patients.
