• Experience: Prior hospitalist APP experience preferred but not required

What You ll Do:

• Respond to codes and rapid responses in a hospital setting
• Manage adult inpatient and observation patients on the medical floor
• Perform ventilator management (preferred) and care for step-down level patients
• Stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate transports to tertiary care
• Document in Cerner Community Works EMR with AI scribe support
• Collaborate effectively with nursing, ED, and surgical teams
• Support discharge planning and patient care transitions

What You Need:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Vermont or ability to obtain
• Prior experience in hospitalist or inpatient care strongly preferred
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and manage acuity levels
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment:
This role is based at a small community hospital in Brattleboro, VT, renowned for its friendly staff and collegial environment. The facility provides in-house overnight coverage and features a supportive nursing team, strong case management, and a collaborative ED and surgical staff. You will operate within a dedicated hospitalist team managing an adult inpatient population with an emphasis on stabilization and safe discharge.
