Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive inpatient care across hospital settings
• Manage admissions, rounding, and discharges with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including specialists, nursing, and care management
• Support transitions of care and coordination with outpatient providers
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital-based programs
• Contribute to the development and growth of hospital medicine services
• Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety
QualificationsEducation
• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
• Completion of an accredited residency program (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine for
hospitalists)
• Fellowship training for subspecialty roles such as PCCM or Palliative Care
Licensure & Certification
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in applicable specialty
• Current MD/DO license (or eligibility) in South Carolina
• DEA license
Experience & Skills
• Interest in inpatient care and hospital-based practice
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills in a fast-paced, team-based
environment
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
• Interest in program growth and clinical leadership preferred
