Physician - Hospitalist

Job Details:

Night shift, on-site position covering Hospital Medicine

EMR system used is Meditech

Seasoned providers who can handle 18-20+ patient encounters per shift are encouraged to apply

Providers will round on 15-22 patients per day depending on volume and shift

Facility has 120 beds with a daily census of 50-60 patients

10-12 daily admissions expected

1-2 consults per day to behavioral health unit or with surgery

Providers will round in an open ICU with intensivist involvement managing drips and vents

Robust support staff includes PT, OT, SLP, case managers, respiratory therapy, intensivist, ED, and surgery teams

Once call rotation is completed, providers are not expected to be called back after their shift

Orientation consists of two 12-hour shadow shifts

The facility features a collaborative care environment with dedicated support staff including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, case management, respiratory therapy, and on-site intensivist coverage.
