Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

Job Responsibilities

• Provide general medical care to hospital patients
• Diagnose and treat various illnesses and diseases
• Examine patients upon admission
• Coordinate care for hospitalized patients
• Communicate and follow up with a patient's primary care doctor
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and X-rays
• Answer patient inquiries about treatments

Qualifications

• AHA BLS and ACLS certification
• New York State License
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience
• Epic experience required
• Must be board certified

Working Hours

• 7 on/7 off schedule
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven clinical skills in hospitalist care
• Experience with automated medication dispensing systems and electronic health records
