Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist
Location: Brattleboro, VT

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient care for adults in a hospital setting.
• Respond to codes and rapid responses.
• Manage ventilator care and step-down level patients.
• Stabilize critically ill patients and arrange transportation to tertiary care if necessary.
• Document patient care using Cerner Community Works with AI scribe support.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and ED teams to ensure effective patient care.

Qualifications:

• Acute Care APRN with all required certifications for Nurse Practitioner.
• 2-3 years of inpatient/hospitalist adult medicine experience preferred.
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues.
• NPDB certification within 30 days of offer.
• Willingness to obtain a Vermont license if not already licensed.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current DEA registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Valid Vermont Nurse Practitioner license (or willingness to obtain).
