Job Details
Sumo Medical Staffing is looking to fill a Hospitalist position in Brattleboro, VT.
NP/PA
Dates of Coverage: December 2026 ongoing
Schedule: Shifts are Monday-Friday 9am - 6pm
In-person stay in the unit/hospital during the shift.
Call Coverage: No
Practice Setting(s): Inpatient/Hospital-Based
Patient Population: 100% Adult inpatient/observation population
Inpatient: 100% - hospital admissions
Average # of Patients Per Day: 8-10 patients per day
Required Duties, Procedures, Skills, etc: Respond to Codes and rapid responses. Ventilator management experience preferred; management of step-down level patients.
Patient acuity: Observation/inpatient floor level of care and intermediate level of care; ability to manage stabilization of critically ill patient and arrange for transport to tertiary care level.
EMR/Documentation: Cerner/Scribe
Additional Notes: Small community hospital. Friendly and supportive nursing staff. Collegial working relationship with ED team and surgeons. Strong Case management team to support discharge process of medial patients. Strong overnight hospitalist MD team.
CREDENTIALING:
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days (pending timely VT state lincense)

- 2-3 years of hospitalist work preferred inpatient/hospitalist adult medicine experience
- Clean background/no malpractice or license issues, no exceptions
- DEA, BLS, ACLS
