Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Hospitalist Physician
• Location: Derry, New Hampshire
• Setting: Inpatient hospital medicine
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: December 15, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,270 - $7,420
• Patient Volume: Average census of 50-60 with 10-12 daily admissions
• Consults: Approximately 1-2 per day
• ICU Involvement: Open ICU with intensivist support

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of hospital medicine or inpatient medicine experience required; experienced providers are strongly encouraged to apply
• Ability to manage 18-20+ encounters per shift
• Comfort rounding on a broad inpatient population, including ICU patients as needed
• Strong clinical judgment for nocturnist coverage in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Willingness to complete orientation and shadow shifts prior to independent coverage
• Eligible for locum tenens credentialing and medical licensure as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight hospitalist coverage during 12-hour night shifts
• Admit and manage hospitalized patients across a broad range of acute medical needs
• Round on patients and respond to inpatient consults from behavioral health and surgical teams
• Work collaboratively with intensivists, respiratory therapy, case managers, PT, OT, SLP, and other clinical support staff
• Support care in the open ICU with intensivist involvement
• Deliver efficient, high-quality inpatient care while maintaining strong communication with the care team
