Hospital Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Job in California
Join a well-established, high-acuity hospital medicine program at a large tertiary care hospital seeking additional physician support for ongoing coverage needs. This opportunity offers the chance to practice in a collaborative inpatient environment caring for medically complex patients, including cardiac and other high-acuity populations. Physicians will work alongside residents as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Details/Requirements:
Day and night shifts available
Ongoing coverage needs through spring
Flexible block scheduling
Closed ICU
No procedures required
No APP support
Work collaboratively with residents
High-acuity inpatient medicine environment
Well-supported physician team
Emergency privileges may be available
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
Active state license preferred
Hospital medicine experience required
Comfortable managing complex inpatient cases
Day Shift Details:
Round on approximately 12-14 patients per day
Consistent weekly scheduling opportunities
Night Shift Details:
Cross-cover responsibilities
Admissions and inpatient consults
Busy, team-based communication environment
