Hospitalist job in Florence WI

Join a collaborative team delivering compassionate care to residents of skilled nursing facilities in Florence, Wisconsin. This part-time role lets you provide clinical leadership and hands-on patient care alongside experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. You'll focus on post-acute and long-term care patients, guiding care plans and supporting facility teams while enjoying a flexible schedule and strong work-life balance.

What you'll do

• Serve as the attending physician across local skilled nursing facilities, providing clinical oversight and direct patient care.
• Partner closely with NPs and PAs to manage daily patient needs, coordinate transitions of care, and ensure quality outcomes.
• Conduct 18-25 patient visits per day, typically covering each facility 1-2 days per week.
• Make clinical decisions, communicate with families and facility staff, and support best-practice standards for long-term and post-acute care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine.
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
