Hospitalist Physician Assistant

Locums - Massena, New York, NP/PA Nocturnist Opening

Clinical Role

• Start date: November 2, 2026
• 13-week assignment
• Nocturnist coverage for acutely ill adult patients with a broad range of medical conditions
• Scheduled coverage with no call
• Approximately 10-15 patients per provider

Schedule & Coverage

• 7 nights on/7 nights off
• 7:00 pm-7:00 am
• 12-hour shifts

Practice Setting & Clinical Expectations

• Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients
• Perform admission assessments
• Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, labs, and imaging
• Coordinate inpatient care and communicate with primary care providers
• Unit staffing includes physician/APP, NP, and LPN support
• Epic EMR
• Pyxis medication dispensing system

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board certification required
• Active New York license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• AHA BLS and ACLS required
• Residents and fellows cannot be accepted
