Shift Details:

  • November: 20-22
  • December: 4-7, 10-14, 17-20, 31
• Schedule Details: 100% Inpatient 24-Hour Beeper Call (6:00 AM - 6:00 AM)
• Procedures:
  • Neonatal airway management (including intubation)
  • Management of neonatal air leak / pneumothorax (including needle decompression)
  • Emergent UVC placement in the delivery room
  • UVC / UAC line placement
  • Lumbar puncture
  • EKG interpretation
• Certifications Needed: Relevant certifications for neonatal procedures
• Patient Population/Case Load: Approximately 80% NICU / 20% Pediatrics
• Case Mix: NICU care down to 32 weeks, newborn resuscitations, and management of 32-week preemies and up
• Preferred Skills: Ventilator management and neonatal chest tube insertion
