Practice Highlights

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
• Manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care
• Order, interpret, and act on laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Provide ventilator management
• Respond to codes and rapid response situations
• Coordinate care plans and ensure smooth transitions of care
• Collaborate with:
  • Specialists and surgeons
  • Primary care providers
  • Emergency Medicine physicians
  • Nurses and respiratory therapists
  • CRNAs
  • Ancillary services
• Specialty backup available, including surgeons for central line procedures
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital committees
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active Vermont medical license
• DEA required prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Demonstrated ventilator management experience
• Experience running codes
• 2 3 years of Hospitalist experience highly preferred
• Rural health experience highly preferred
• Clean malpractice history
• NPDB Self-Query Report pulled within 30 days
