Hospitalist Nocturnist Opportunity in West Texas Are you an Internal Medicine physician looking for a dedicated inpatient opportunity with a competitive financial package, a defined shift schedule, and additional earning potential?

We are recruiting a Hospitalist Nocturnist to join an established hospital-based physician group in Midland, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to practice inpatient medicine within a 474-bed medical center serving the Permian Basin and surrounding West Texas communities.

With a proposed 7-on/7-off schedule, admission-based incentives, and additional compensation for experience, this opportunity provides a structured practice environment with the ability to increase earnings beyond base compensation.

Practice Setting Join an established Hospital Medicine group providing comprehensive inpatient care within a regional medical center.

The Hospitalist team consists of approximately 15 physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers, offering a collaborative environment for physicians who enjoy managing a diverse adult inpatient population.

Clinical Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluation and management of adult medical inpatients
• Overnight hospital admissions
• Management of acute and chronic medical conditions
• Coordination of care with the daytime Hospitalist team
• Inpatient medical decision-making and continuity of care
• Practice within an open ICU environment

Schedule

• Dedicated night shifts
• 12-hour shifts
• Proposed 7-on/7-off schedule
• Approximately 182 annual shifts
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities

Swing shift opportunities may also be available, with shifts from 12 PM 12 AM.

Compensation & Financial Package Night Shift Compensation

• $2,000 per shift
• $364,000 annually based on 182 shifts

Experience-Based Compensation

• More than 5 years of experience: Additional $100 per shift
• More than 10 years of experience: Additional $200 per shift

Additional Earning Opportunities

• $200 additional incentive for each shift beyond 182 annually
• $150 per admission exceeding 12 admissions per shift
• $30,000 start-of-work bonus
• $5,000 CME allowance

Potential First-Year Compensation Based on 182 night shifts and the $30,000 start-of-work bonus:

• Base: $394,000
• More than 5 years of experience: $412,200
• More than 10 years of experience: $430,400

Additional admission and shift incentives provide opportunities to increase total compensation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Hospitalist experience preferred
• Comfortable managing adult inpatients in an open ICU environment
• Texas medical license or willingness to obtain licensure
• Interest in a dedicated night-shift Hospital Medicine position
