Hospitalist job in Doniphan MO

Provide clinical leadership and deliver patient-centered medical care across local skilled nursing facilities in Doniphan, Missouri. Work collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients, oversee clinical practice at assigned facilities, and ensure high-quality, timely documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Admit, evaluate, and manage residents in skilled nursing facilities
• Oversee and coordinate care with NPs, PAs, nursing staff, therapists, and families
• Provide or authorize orders, medication management, and transitions of care
• Perform 18-25 visits per day across assigned facilities
• Complete timely documentation using company-provided iPad with LTE
• Provide clinical leadership and participate in quality improvement efforts

Schedule

• Part-time: typically cover each facility 1-2 days per week
• No fixed start/end times, no call, and no overnight shifts
• Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance
• New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure encouraged to apply

Requirements

• MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligible for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
