Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with overnight call and callback as needed; preferred availability of one 7-10 day stretch per month; call ratio: 7 on / 7 off
• Job Setting: Inpatient; 16-bed Pediatric department
• Types of Cases: Pediatric Hospitalist; average daily census of approximately 11 patients across Pediatrics and the Nursery; typical volume of 1-3 admissions per shift; rounding on assigned patients; intubation (pediatric) required; Nursery Level II/NICU preferred; supervision of Advance Practice Providers required
• Call: 2nd Call / Backup; 20-minute response time required; callback applies when physician must report to the facility for direct patient care; telephone calls included in nightly call rate; call back less than 10%; phone consults approximately 2 per night; patients seen on callback: 1-2; admissions on callback: 1-2
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: Estimated 45-120 days; temporary privileges available
• Nearest Airport: Fargo
• Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required
• Licensure: Must be licensed in North Dakota only; IMLC not accepted
• Experience: Minimum of two years of Pediatric Hospitalist experience required; new graduates will not be considered
• Provider Type: MD
