Quick Facts Location: Eureka, CA Start Date: 09/03/2026 Shift: 24-Hour Call (Inpatient) Schedule: Call only, 10/15-10/19, 10/30-11/02, 11/20-11/22, 12/04-12/07, 12/10-12/14, 12/17-12/20, 12/31 Hours/Week: As scheduled Employment Type: Locum/Temporary License/Certs: California Medical License, DEA, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP Experience: Neonatal airway management, neonatal ICU procedures, pediatric assessment Pay & Benefits Rate: $1.00/hour Pay Package: Competitive pay, weekly direct deposit Benefits: Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), paid sick time, licensure/travel reimbursements, robust referral bonus program, dedicated team support What You ll Do Manage neonatal airway emergencies including intubations and pneumothorax decompression Perform emergent UVC placement and lumbar punctures Interpret EKGs and assess neonatal and pediatric patients with complex needs Support NICU patients down to 32 weeks gestation and manage neonatal resuscitations Collaborate with ED and anesthesia teams during pediatric airway cases Contribute to multidisciplinary care teams in stabilization and management of neonatal and pediatric cases What You Need Active California medical license and DEA Board Certification or Board Eligible in Pediatrics or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (within 3-5 years of residency) Minimum of 2+ years neonatology and pediatric hospitalist experience Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP Neonatal airway management and NICU procedures proficiency About the Assignment You will be providing inpatient call coverage at a leading facility in Eureka, CA, primarily managing NICU patients, newborn resuscitations, and complex pediatric cases in a high-acuity environment. The role involves 24-hour on-call shifts during selected dates, supporting neonatal stabilization, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
