Join a collaborative team providing high-quality medical care to post-acute and long-term care patients across skilled nursing facilities in Archbold, Ohio. This part-time Medical Director/Attending Physician role combines clinical practice with leadership and oversight, partnering with experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide attending physician coverage and clinical leadership across assigned skilled nursing facilities
  • Collaborate with NPs and PAs to manage transitions of care, chronic conditions, acute issues, and advance care planning
  • Oversee patient care plans, conduct facility visits, and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and act as a clinical resource for facility staff

Schedule and practice highlights
  • Part-time commitment; physicians typically cover each facility 1-2 days per week
  • No fixed start/end times, no call, and no overnight shifts
  • Average 18-25 visits per day
  • Flexible schedule to support an excellent work-life balance

Qualifications
  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure

  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
