  • Patient Demographics: 60% low risk, 40% high risk, 10% GYN
  • Average Daily Volume: 4 inductions and 1-2 C-sections per day
  • Case Mix: Obstetrics (low and high risk), GYN
FACILITY INFORMATION
  • Trauma Level: Level II
  • EMR System: EPIC
  • Office Equipment Available: Standard L&D support equipment
  • Specialty Backup Available: Yes (private and employed OB/GYNs)
  • Support Staff Available: RNs (EFM certified), APRNs/midwives, OB techs
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Credentialing Timeline: 3 months
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.)
  • High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Problems, Chronic Renal Disease, etc.)
  • FHR Interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
  • OB ultrasounds - Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
  • OB ultrasounds - Performance of Interpretation
  • Routine Delivery - Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section
  • Complicated Delivery - C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.
  • VBAC's
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC or BE (Required)
  • Licenses: Active OH License (eligibility considered)
  • Certifications: BLS, EFM from NCC
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage low and high risk obstetric patients in labor and delivery setting.
  • Perform routine and complicated vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
  • Provide FHR interpretation and management of fetal distress.
  • Supervise and collaborate with APRNs/midwives and nursing staff.
  • Provide coverage for OB triage and emergency procedures.
