Hospitalist Physician Assistant

A healthcare system in Connecticut is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team in Hartford County. This role supports hospital medicine coverage across day, swing, and night shifts with opportunities to work in a collaborative inpatient environment.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Days, Nights or Swing shifts
• Schedule: Sunday to Saturday (ideal coverage is 7 on / 7 off)
• Hours:7am to 7pm or 11am to 11pm or 7pm to 7am
• Setting: Inpatient hospital

Responsibilities:

• Provide hospital medicine coverage for assigned day, swing, or night shifts
• Manage inpatient rounding, admissions, and ongoing patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and residents as needed
• Support patient flow and coordinate care across the hospital medicine service
• Work within an Epic-based clinical environment and maintain high-quality, efficient care

Qualifications:

• Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
• Board certification required
• Ability to work independently for night coverage when needed

Desired Skills:

• Experience in hospital medicine or inpatient acute care
• Experience working independently in a hospital setting
• Familiarity with Epic
• Flexibility to cover multiple shifts or float between locations
