A respected regional healthcare system in the Midland, Michigan area seeks a Locums Hospitalist to provide inpatient coverage across multiple facilities. This role offers the chance to join a collaborative hospital medicine team caring for adult inpatients in a well-supported clinical setting.

- Location: Multiple facilities near Midland, MI
- Setting: Inpatient hospital medicine
- Schedule: Prefer coverage in 3-4 consecutive day blocks
- EMR: Epic with Dragon dictation
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for adult patients, including admissions, daily rounds, discharges, and care coordination
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests; document encounters accurately in Epic using Dragon
- Collaborate with specialists, nursing, case management, and ancillary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered, evidence-based care while maintaining efficient patient flow
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency
- Active Michigan medical license required
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- All required certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association
