Job Details

Seeking a part-time Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide clinical oversight and direct patient care at skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Mascoutah, IL, and surrounding communities. The physician will collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients and provide leadership within assigned facilities.

Locations
  • Primary: Mascoutah, IL (local coverage)
  • Current facility network in Illinois: Carlinville, Casey, Coulterville, Flanagan, Galesburg, Hillsboro, Macomb, Mascoutah, Paris, Springfield
  • Additional openings nationwide: IN, KS, LA, MA, MI, MO, NC, OH, TN, WI

Position overview
  • Part-time coverage, typically 1-2 days per week per facility
  • No fixed daily start/end times; flexible scheduling
  • No overnight shifts and no call responsibilities
  • Expected patient volume: 18-25 visits per day
  • Work with affiliated NPs/PAs for coordinated care and clinical oversight

Requirements
  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
  • New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure encouraged to apply
