Job Details

Seeking a full-time Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide clinical leadership and deliver patient-centered care across skilled nursing facilities in Springfield, MO. This role partners with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients and oversee clinical operations within assigned facilities.

Locations: Springfield, MO. Additional facility opportunities in KS, MI, NC, and WI.

Schedule and clinical duties
  • Full-time; physicians typically cover each facility 1-2 days per week
  • No fixed daily start/end times, no call, and no overnight shifts
  • Average 18-25 patient visits per day
  • Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in skilled nursing facilities
  • Collaborate with and provide oversight to NPs/PAs
  • Serve as clinical leader at assigned facilities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality initiatives

Requirements
  • MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
